This Extra Añejo Tequila is made from 100% Blue Weber Agave grown in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico (Los Altos) and is crafted at Casa San Matías, a family-owned distillery with over 130 years of history.
The agave hearts are slow-cooked in traditional stone and brick ovens to bring out deep, rich flavors, and the tequila is then aged for at least three years in American oak barrels, giving it a rich golden amber color. Bottled at 40% alcohol (80 proof) in a 750ml bottle, it offers aromas of roasted pineapple, sweet vanilla, and gentle oak spices, while the taste is smooth and complex, with notes of oak, tropical fruit, caramel, vanilla, toffee, and dark chocolate.
This tequila is perfect for sipping neat or on the rocks and is ideal for true tequila lovers. It has also received high acclaim, including a Double Gold Medal at the 2018 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
